WASHINGTON -- President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.
"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.
One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.
"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."
That wasn't Obama's only jab at Republicans today.
While discussing the stimulus package with top lawmakers in the White House's Roosevelt Room, President Obama shot down a critic with a simple message.
"I won," he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."
The response was to the objection by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to the president's proposal to increase benefits for low-income workers who don't owe federal income taxes.

Rush gets on my nerves sometimes always, the biggest problem for Obama is the guy is 95% correct on all reports.
It will be interesting how long it takes Obama to alienate everyone in congress. All we have to do is let him be the lying back stabbing person he is and hopefully his false facade will be seen

Rush and Shaun Hanity brought up things about Obama that took the main stream media months to bring to light, and some were never were brought up.
Such as he is going to:
Stop development of our nuclear defense system
Stop development of our satellite defense system
Sit down and negociate with terrorist leaders
Stop the war in Iraq and bring our troops home as soon as he gets in office even if the war hasn't been won.
Promote Global warming taxes (on carbon emission)
Federal ban on CC
Start a civil youth group, for what? (To protect the liberal agenda)
Some on things he still will do even if he said he wouldn’t.
With Rush bringing up those that he associated with in the past, his past voting records, and his past views, I can understand why Obama wouldn’t want anyone listening to Rush.
I like Shaun Hanity he gets on Obama's nerves more than Rush does and I think more Republicans need to quite trying to get along with Democrats and start reading their Constitution.

I hate talk radio; I'd much rather read a well-written article than listen to a paid mouth ramble, disgress, and dissemble.
However, I just might have to take a radio to work and tune it in just to annoy the 'bamatons...

Rush Limbaugh is a whack-job extraordinaire.
The only real problem I have with Rush is he is not near enough to the right for me. Or what I should say what the liberal press refers to as extreme right. What they call extreme right I call dead center.

But he is right a heap of the time... and it is easer to not listen to PEBHO and his wife whining about the dolls that look like his kids...
