Assault Weapons Ban Assured

What excuse are they going to use for the awful crime rate in Miami after a ban is passed? They need an excuse for why they aren't doing their job. Part of the problem with society today is that noone is responsible for their actions. Maybe they just need to impose more strict laws governing what the AK47's can and can't do. Then when they find an AK out after curfew they can slap it on the wrist and send it home to mommy. I better go check on my rifles and handguns and make sure they aren't out wandering the streets and causing hate and discontent.

They really couldn't care less about crime or even about the "assault weapons" themselves. The whole crux about gun control is CONTROL! They want to control the citizens' ability to protect themselves from a tyrannical government.

England has banned nearly ALL guns and they STILL are seeing murders. But now the crimes are much more blatant, because the criminals don't fear getting shot by a law-abiding citizen.

England is is now seeing a dramatic rise in murders with KNIVES. So they currently regulate the sale of ALL knives and are also proposing a ban on sharp pointy knives.

We all know that it's never,ever about crime control. Gun control is a means to disarm us. In addition, if things do not turn around in the 2010 mid term elections, ( read, vote Republican, OK, carefully)expect a socialist state, or as close to European socialism as we have ever been.

I'm not sure what the unsolved murder rate is in the US but it's not one to be proud of making me think Biden could really do something useful by allowing LE some resources to track criminals and force them to work on a national versus local level. I'd say LE has more to fear from politicians who don't expect existing laws to be enforced or who go soft on criminal punishment than assault weapons. The myth of the West being wild because everyone had a gun seems to be one LE has been sold by idiots like Biden.

These idiots don't even use the sights. why would they aim? they aren't trained gun enthusiasts, upholding their second amendment duty. Like many they listened to the campaign rhetoric rather than examine past voting records. It's a shame that many still fall for promises made by those running for a political position. It's very easy today to research politicians positions and how they voted. There's no excuse not to do so.

Combine that with the proposed "Cop Killer ammunition" ban:

Banning any ammunition that will penetrate a (1970's era) Class I bullet proof vest, which is anything ballistically more powerful than a .380 pistol round.
In other words the ammo ban will ban ALL 9mm, .40, .45, .357, etc, and ALL rifle ammunition.

When ammunition is outlawed, only outlaws will have ammunition.
