I'd hate to face down a home invader with a "deactivated" firearm. The Brits certainly know how to mutilate their own liberty! Meanwhile, the criminals do what just comes naturally for them.

Gun crime victims have criticised the Government for failing to close a loophole that allows criminals to legally buy "deactivated" firearms that can be turned back into lethal weapons within minutes.

Lucy Cope, from Mothers against Guns, an organisation that campaigns against the use of firearms, said: "This is a disgrace. A criminal with a drill and a clamp can make a deactivated gun 'live' in under four minutes."

A number of high-profile crimes, including the murder of the television presenter Jill Dando, have been carried out using reactivated guns.

Unfortunately they deserve what they got. They failed to put up a fight when they outlawed firearms. This can happen here if we don't stand up for our rights.
