What if the UN is asked to help us maintain order during/after a natural disaster/pandemic/riot over Govt. policy ETC.?
What course of action do you chose?
Do you abide by the rules or do you perform acts of civil disobedience?
Do you help the local Govt. get back on it's feet or do you wait it out to see what happens?
Do you raise up the constitution as written, or do you become an anarchist?
Do you organize your neighbors, or do you remain isolated and seperated?
THINK ABOUT IT!

Some very good points and something we may be faced with in the future. Every time we send our troops around the globe as the enforcing arm of the U.N. we need to remember that what goes round comes round. Some day the chickens will come home to roost.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith Heb.11:7

1. yeah, we might could win, but it would a expensive win.
2. the un has access to advanced NATO/WARSAW PACT equipment and weaponry. i do not believe their full might has been unleashed yet. just because it looks like the can't fight their way out of a PAPER BAG, don't underestimate them.
From time to time freedom must be bought with the blood of it's patriots and tyrnats... Yes it would be expensive, Federal law prohibits the use of federal troops against the American populance...
But if NATO were to be given free access, just how long before the National guard Amory would be violated and used against them as they landed. They do have to get on the ground first.... and their supply lines are a lot longer than ours....

To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them... -- Richard Henry Lee, 1787
The UN hasn't liberated anyone from anything since Korea in 50-53, that's how useless they are. Worst case, you'll just get a letter in the mail from Ban Ki Moon telling you he's very disappointed in you and wants you to behave or he'll cancel your credit cards. Did anyone ever watch Team America...it's not too far removed from the truth?
The UN didn't liberate anybody in Korea, either. Us troops did the liberating, the UN guys just delayed the signing of a truce.
An army of ants can take down a much larger predator. We have a few things in our favor. The American populace always seems to rally whenever we are challenged. Look at 9/11, before that atrocity most people out side of New York hated it, but as soon as we are struck from outside we bind together like velcro, and New York became the biggest tourist attraction in the nation. We also enjoy a few freedoms, such as the right to assemble, to free speech, and um...... oh yeah the right to keep and bear arms. No one from the "outside" will ever be able to overcome 80 million gun owners with God knows how many guns. If they'd like to try, the decrease in "surplus population" would surely help the jobless numbers. Just one question what would we do with all the blue helmets?
