    The Rasmussan Poll shows 75% of Americans believe the 2A guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms. That being said, why are we (the 75%) allowing the 14% (11% are unsure) to make laws against ownership? The silent majority must wake up and make themselves heard!

    Good question. Why are we allowing many of our rights to be striped away? We indeed need to wake up before it is to late.

    Blame the media, run by the liberal elite. For the last two or three decades, all the media tells us is that guns are bad and there is no good use for guns. Anyone who goes on TV or the radio to contest their viewpoint is merely labled as a right wing kook and ignored. Most people don't realize that if they support the 2nd Amendment, they are in the overwhelming majority, so they just keep their heads down. Gun ownership has been stigmatized as something done by either criminals or "paranoid right wing nutjobs" and dismissed as the refuge of the bitter, backwards, religious fanatics. Hell, even thier chosen one was arrogant enough to make that sentiment clear in what he thought was private with his bitter gun and God clinging statement. They marginalize us, and we outnumber them by five to one. Go figure. At least it'll be a short fight. LOL

    The real question right now is how ready are you to fight for our Constitution and its Bill of Rights? A little over 230 years ago, people got ticked off enough at another government that was trying to take away their power, and they did something about it.

    And right now, it sure looks a lot like our new government is headed in the same direction. So when it comes time to call in the chips, are you going to be part of the problem or part of the solution? As hard as it sounds, we're in a real crunch here mainly because we've got too comfortable with letting someone else do all the work. Staying away from the polls, voting for someone for all the wrong reasons, and spending our way into abysmal debt because we could.

    What's going to happen? I honestly do not know, but I can tell you in all honesty that I have loved my country all my life. I served in the military voluntarily. I worked hard from the time I was 14 years old, and can count the number of times I was unemployed on one hand, with a few fingers left over. And I'm not going to stand by and let these socialists flush the United States down the toilet. Not without a fight. I hope that everyone can now see the seriousness of our situation, and will stand up for our Constitution and our freedom.

    We search out the other 25% and re-educate them. If they wont take the hint we offer them a week in the woods in Alaska with NO GUN and then see if they are a believer.

    If that does not work we send them to Antartica to "LIVE IN PEACE"

    glad to see that 3/4 of americans know how are founding fathers meant it.. I mean it's not hard to understand if you just read it... the other 25 percent must be uneducated in american history to think that our 2A is not an individual right. the HBO mini series called "John Adams" is a pretty good history lesson on the matter.. everyone should watch it and gain a better understanding of "freedom".

    That sounds like good news, unfortunately if you poll that same 75% you will find a large group within them, that although believe that the right to own and carry firearms is an individual right they will then state that it does not extend to "assault weapons", "automatic weapons (meaning semi), or other "war type weapons" as defined by the anti-groups.

    That is why, although there is a strong majority for 2A, they will still back a gun ban. Education on the TRUTH of WHAT THESE WEAPONS ARE is paramount, instead of just trash talk about "liberals".

    When rabbid defenders of 2A open their mouths, they indeed sound like their life goal is in their guns and that makes them sound dangerous to the general public. There are discussions on this board about "Do you live in the state you do because of the gun laws, or would you move to a new state JUST to get more favorable gun laws?" To us, that seems like normal conversation, to the anti's that sounds like war talk, but of MOST importance is to the average joe in the public ... IT MAKES US SOUND CRAZY! "You'ld move just to be able to carry more guns?"

    Stop whining about how bad Obama is ... he IS the president, he is going to be the president and most likely for eight years. The incesant griping with racial overtones WILL NOT EVER produce results in our favor. We need to present a reasonalbe, educated and educational side of why semi-automatic weapons are a functional tool, not a weapon of war, no matter what they look like.

    If 75% at the moment back 2A then why are we so stupid as to want to scare some of them back to the anti side?

    Our worst enemy ... IS US!!!
