Default National Park Carry- Judge issues injunction

I wasn't aware that this happened a couple of weeks ago. I also was not aware that a Judge has the authority in effect, overturn an Executive Order. Please contact your representatives, senators and the NRA and tell them you want the executive order allowing concealed carry in the NPS to be enforced! Your rights and your family's safety are at stake. We were planning on hitting a few National Parks this summer. Might have second thoughts and just stick to the state parks now.

Before you send any letters or emails, please understand that this has nothing to do with an Executive Order. The National Parks Service and the Department of the Interior acted on a request to allow CCW. After months of study, the proposed changes to the NPS's regs were published in the Federal Register and after an extended comment period, Mr. Bush authorized the change in the regs.

An Environmental Impact Study wasn't done because it was determined in both the original study, and during the comment period, that allowing the possession of a firearm didn't mean there would be a meaningful increase in lead contamination in any part of any National Park.

Then why the injunction from the judge? Where was the Brady Campaign during the "extended comment period"? I presume that all parties were heard during that period and now, with the ruling of one judge, we are stripped of our rights, again. I will send letters, emails and make phone calls anyway. That's one right that can't be taken away from me.

The injunction happened because there was no impact study

The Injunction happened because the Brady Bunch waited until the 11th hour before the rule change would go into effect and cherry picked a biased judge who would agree with them and then sprang this B.S. on the park-going public.

There can be no conclusion but that the idea of concealed carry can have no detrimental impact on the national park ecospheres, and the injunction will be lifted in a matter of months to weeks.

An Environmental Impact Study is really reaching even for a liberal activist judge! What they don't realize is if they return a negative study then it'll disarm the Park Rangers also. Environmentalist will have a field day with this one! It will never happen though, just a waste of our time...

this is more than a few weeks old, more like a few months, and is only temporary and at the judicial level...

My thing on this is, why not leave it the way it was while the study was/is being done? Also they can hurry up with the study, I don't need a degree to know that concealed carry is that and no one will be taking out their bullets and dipping them in the water or dirt to contaminate it. If someone does use it for self defence, then only contamination would be some blood stains!

News Flash, this was a DONE DEAL, until the Usurper Obama came into office and put a immediate hold on all pending legislation, actions, etc., by the Bush administration, (including the Department of the Interior) until the Usurper Administration had the opportunity to review it; this was one of the first ones they attacked and the District Judges Injunction was based on a request from the Usurper Administration's legal team... (read legal stall tactic)

Fortunately, a few loyal supporters of the Unabridged Second Amendment in the House and Senate are not waiting for the Usurper Administration to figure out some kind of MYTHOLOGICAL GREEN OR OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL LOOPHOLE to prevent the restoration of Second Amendment Rights in National Parks; and they introduced Congressional Legislation to restore Second Amendment Rights to those visiting our Nations National Parks.

    S.816 and H.R.1684 (111th Congress 1st Session 2009)

Please respectfully let the sponsors, co-sponsors and your Representatives and Senators know, that their constituents expect their support of these bills and the Unabridged Second Amendment.
