The Constitution's been shredded since almost before it began. The Whiskey Rebellion and Fries' Rebellion were both in response to unconstitutional direct taxes levied on the people by the Federal government.

One of the earliest tears occurred when George Washington selected a panel of Supreme Court judges who were each in favor of greater Federal authority as opposed to allowing the States to retain their authority.

I don't want to start a flame war here, but: If we can agree that the Constitution has already been messed up before our time, and thus out of our control - Shouldn't we be fighting to see that it isn't messed up any further during our time, and thus WITHIN our control?

Just remember the part that the left-wing socialists are really trying to kill - our Declaration of Independence - and what it says:

That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends,
it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government,
laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form,
as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

Looks like it may be time to take these words to heart.

Everything that has been done can be undone withing the frame of law. We just have to work on it. The enemies of the Constitution, and freedom in general, work continually to erode our rights (what is a Right anyway) and freedoms, while we work at our jobs and raising our families. We need to do more. We need to suck it up, understand the game, and start playing to win.
The players in the game do not care about right and wrong (for the most part), just what helps them win. We need new strategies and tactics, because the ones we are using do not work.
We need bright young people who understand how to play the media to be our spokemen.
We need soulless bastards who are loyal to US to represent us in the Courts and Congress, or those who are willing to sacrifice their souls to do what needs to be done. I do not think you can have a Soul and go far as an elected official, and I don't think Reagan would stand a chance today :-(
We need our own BIG LIE that the sheep can understand and get behind, even if the LIE is the truth.

We need to come together and market ourselves until we can gain enough control and momentum to where we can make effective change.

Otherwise we are doomed to be murdering our children, either in a civil war, or through oppression. I do not want to see either happen.

First, and maybe slightly of topic, this thread has been thought provoking and thanks to all. My B-I-L and I have been talking about the "Framers" for about a week and we went back to Mr Madison and the Federalist Papers. (For a start ~ The Federalist Papers - THOMAS (Library of Congress) )

The objects of the Union among the States, as described in article third, are "their common defense, security of their liberties, and mutual and general welfare.

I have not read these works since school. It is amazing how smart these guys were.. But If our golf game goes away, we go back to the basics. Back to the fundimentals that made our game good. The same thing holds true here, go back to the fundimentals that made us great...

Federalist Papers, Common Sense, Jefferson's letters. These are all great reading material, but those with political power don't want you to read them.
