Just what part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" do these communist sympathizers not understand?

I have said it before and I will say it again...

The Second Amendment reaffirms a pre-existing unalienable right...

Further, it does not state "Shall Not Be Infringed" except...
IF your zip code is x, you happen to be standing/sitting at y, the type or class of firearm or weapon you have or desire to have is z or if said weapon is concealed or openly carried...

    The Second Amendment is non-negotiable...

Thank you. I still have not been able to find out if he was escorted away or if he stayed.

There's a time and place for everything!! I strongly believe that he should have not open-carried at or near a townhall where the President is speaking and to go on talk shows so that the media can make him look like an idiot. The national media is portraying him as some radical right wing "nut" job. I've read articles linking his myspace page and his following of former klansmen,anti-tax federalists, right wing militia and any other negative thing the media could find.

The town hall was about health-care, not gun control. One of the problems that gun-owners are facing is that the media is portraying us "nut jobs". And people like William Kostic are hurting our cause. You have important pro 2nd amendment media personalities and gun owners like Ed Schultz and others saying that Kostic did a bone head thing. Many people need to calm down.

That's the typical hypocrites for you. The Secret Service needs to be armed to protect the President because "he's important", but your everyday citizen cannot be armed to protect themselves. How do we decide who's life is more valuable than the rest of the general public? So much for the 2A and our "RIGHT to bear arms".

and because of this I heard yesterday on the news that obama was saying that the media is spending too much time on angry protesters... gee could it be because they go against what obama is trying to do? obama is nothing but a big baby who whines when people don't agree with him.

Sorry I have to agree to disagree with you on this one...

How do you think he would have been portrayed IF somebody else in the crowd took a shot at Obama and he put the individual down?

Or would it have made the news if he was mugged at gun-point in the parking lot of the President's (cough, choke, spit...) implied gun-free zone and Town hall meeting? or should I say President's Town Hall "Production"...

The Supreme Court and a multitude of other courts before it have ruled that the Police and Military and Government have "No Duty To Protect Any Individual"...

While overlooking, omitting that "Congress informally requested Secret Service Presidential protection following the assassination of President William McKinley. in 1901"

Nor was he there protesting gun control. Why do people assume that he must be making a statement about gun laws just because he has a gun on his hip?

I liked his handling of Matthews, however, I would have LOVED if he would have simply answered something like "I carry a gun for self defense, everywhere I go. The fact that I am attending a protest doesn't change that. It isn't a stage prop, it's a self defense tool, and doesn't need to be analyzed any further than that."

My understanding is that he stayed there.

Mr. Matthews should have been corrected (before being censured and fired) in that he went to a place on the route to the TH, not to the meeting itself.

As for appropriateness, if it was appropriate to wear clothing, it was appropriate to belt on a gun.

I noticed someone had a gun at Gifford's TH meeting and the only commotion was they dropped it.

If Obama wanted a sound bite or two he should attend a gun show as a guest and talk with another segment of his constituency.

Then Matthews and others could ask him if he was a "GD idiot" to go into a gun show full of armed citizens.

PS - My respect for Obama would increase geometrically if he did this, even though I doubt he can change my view of either him or his direction.
    Reality, DEAL with IT!
