Remember the President has no power on his own. Congress can stop him in his tracks. Vote to change the House and Senate in 2012 and Obam will be powerless.

Actually, the President (Usurper in this case) has quite of few powers that he can abuse to his own ends at least in the short term, which can be long enough to affect permanent change of the wrong kind...
Abe Lincoln did it, Woodrow Wilson did, as did Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, Slick Willie Clinton, W. Bush... notice the pattern here... mostly liberals, progressives and democrats...

Two such powers that have been historically abused and in not so recent history have been:

• Emergency Powers, give the President the power to generally declare any state of emergency that he feels is in the public's best interest... Harry Truman once tried to use his emergency powers to Nationalize (Socialize) our Nations Steel Mills... Fortunately those were more conservative times... and SCOTUS shut him down...
• Executive privilege gives the President the ability to withhold information from the public, Congress, and the courts...

A lot of people and the media would have you believe that Obama's first executive order was closing GITMO... IT was not, GITMO was day 2, and 4th Executive order...
IT should be noted Barack Obama's first Executive order was signed within hours of his taking the oath; that Executive order gave the Executive branch further discretionary privilege on what documents about individuals in public office can be made public... (Anybody see how this one can and probably already has been used?)
IT further appears in direct conflict with George W. Bush's Last Executive order...
