3.I deal with this every day...You see I am a DISABLED VET. I am told all the time what the VA (Govt Health Care at it's finest) will not do for me to include a simple surgery to fix an aortic aneurysm (at ticking time bomb in my chest).
4.If everyone opts for the Govt plan the emergency rooms will be full to capacity and people will be turned away at the door.

Health care is fine in the US. It's the best in the world, bar none.

The problem is the price. That is what needs to be reformed. And you can't lower the cost by attacking the middle of the food chain, the insurance. You must attack the start, the price of drugs, the defensive medicine due to lawsuits, the costs of medical equiptment in every doctor's office or hospital, the uninsured of which many are illegals. Unless you do that, there will never be enough money to "reform health care".

If all you do is replace insurers with government, you'll have costs just the same as now but expenses will be higher as government is much more inefficient. Much, much more inefficient. Especially without any need to be efficient.

Wait until government can't pay the bills, you get either higher taxes or less medical care. There are no other alternatives, and there is no competition to provide any. Then our health care really will be worse than other countries.

Upset that an insurer is trying to reduce costs and won't approval certain medical care? Wait until the government makes the decisions and you have no legal recourse to fight it.

There is no free lunch. As long as things cost as much as they do, you will either pay your insurer or you will pay Uncle Sam, but pay you will.

Definition of DERANGEMENT:
Having faith in an industry that only breaks promises and bankrupts every program it has created (Medicare, medicaid, Post office, Amtrak...) to run the health care industry (which is 1/6 of the nations GDP), and want that corrupt and inept industry to make personal decisions that only a patient and doctor should be making.

What we need to do is tweak the industry, not turn it on its head. We need portability to increase competition, stop pre-existing conditions from denying coverage, and liability reform. All of which will lower premiums and increase the quality of health care we are provided.
