Talking Good and Bad Experiences with a Sig GSR 1911

Does anyone, anywhere have any input on a Sig GSR 1911, any model? I'm really looking at buying one, and I I'd like to know if anyone has any pro's or con's about buying/owning/shooting/maintaining one. Really any input would be useful. I would just like to know that the $1200 I'm gonna spend is gonna be worth it. Thanks ahead of time.

A friend of mine picked one up in February of this year. Shooting the first 500 rounds was pretty rough. The edges were kind of rough, springs were extremely tight, and accuracy was a joke. Once we passed the 500 round mark, accuracy began to improve, and the rough edges seemed to be less of a problem. He ended up selling the gun so he could purchase a couple of other guns one of which his wife really wanted. It was an "O.K." piece of equipment, but if given a choice, I'd opt for a STI or possibly a Les Baher.
