Smile USA Carry and the World Wide Web.

This is a publicly posted forum-style group of like minded folks who join USA Carry & post to a unique and copyrighted site, Uniform Resource Locater, URL for short on the World Wide Web aka WWW, 'the net'. It can be viewed by anyone anywhere (nation permitting) and be translated from English into whatever common language is spoken/understood by the reader in their native tongue/scripts with 1 mouse-click. It is closed to non-patron posting and other privileges to non-members, which allows the site's web-master/owner to police the behavior, content and patronage of his property, and keep it in line with the CC theme, all matters that pertain to the right to bear arms, and specifically those which allow certain people to legally bear concealed pistols. No Luke did not suggest I post this, not his stlye and honestly I get the feeling he thinks I am some crazy know-it-all grizzly old Vet, but I was prolly shooting an M16 & keeping him safe from Soviet armies waiting to pour thru the Fulda-Gap at age 19 when he was still in diapers! This post was my idea after I was searching the net for CC related topics, and lo & behold right there in Hyper Text Mark-Up Language/HTML was one of my posts to USA Carry on a Yahoo search page with a subject I was looking for & my mug-shot/avitar & words staring right back at me. This is common when you surf the net and enter any forum site, unless you are a member you may view it but that's normally all. I often stress privacy and never self incriminating yourself here, keeping it on-topic and cleaner than trash are basic tenants, but BE AWARE that your avitar, your words and ideas, your I.P. address, server, and more are open to anyone surfing the WWW Internet. A smart web-master loads the HTML top of his/her site with 6 - 8 'meta-tags' or catchy words that are invisible to anyone who does not know how to dissect a page (source-code) and see them hidden in plain sight, but not in HTML. In the case of USA Carry 'Guns, 'Concealed-carry' and 'weapons' are probably part of Lukem's meta-tags, I have never bothered to look at his site code, like looking into his car, not polite! Meta-tags act to draw searchers to sites that carry the right meta-tags that fits the search. Little bit of trivia; your posts are kept available for 10-15 years on Google, so what you type in anger may some day come back to screw you :-) Site submission engines post sites to the best search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN. USA Carry obviously past the test to graduate to global posting, 75% of new web-sites don't! The reason I am telling you all this WAY tech-geek non-gun stuff, :16: is because I use meta-tags on my home-page/web-site, as 'bait' for hits, and I get plenty. I have no ads just the right bait :-) If I ran ads that gave me ca$h for each hit I would crowd my page with ads from anyone to pay for it's upkeep, and have a common ad/forum site that many have up & running, full of pop-ups, sex/porn links, virii, mailing-list sign-ups just for visiting that U can't unsubscribe from, Spam-Bots, and have no problems bombarding you with permanent homing-cookies, and pushy sells. Many gun-related web-sites already look like crap and their content is left of topic, full of flamers and Trolls. The run-down 'trailer-parks' of the WWW! Webmasters who leave them set to auto-pilot and they get ugly. So I sent my check in NOT to get a fancy gold *.gif under my name but look at how relatively ad-free USA Carry is, (just like a $25 a month TV channel add on like HBO!) and no pop-ups, background midis or BS ad-filled pages make this a Pro designed/run site. Running a site 24/7/365 that gets the traffic this one does, and keeping it on-track, bug-free and a gold-mine of information is not an act of cyber-charity. Although I'd bet a LOT of what keeps this place not a CC 'QVC' online abomination is a chunk of Luke's own cash & LOTS of his free time. It is worth the small donation I sent in. I do not know Luke, but I would guess that since he put his site up he gets to spend a LOT less time on the range than he likes & spends many late hours/weekends making sure all is running well. One final word, if you do surf the net do not be surprised if your face or posts or both appear as one of the hits on the CC-related subject URL you were looking for, or U suddenly get 'Fan Mail' from a radical in Calcutta telling you what he would love to do to you, and your family! I leave you with the words keep this site an asset to the CC community, do not self-incriminate yourself, and be cognizant of you own privacy when you post, as some gun-prohibited users in say Great Britain (OK some Limeys can buy shot-guns, but go to jail for using them to save their own lives) may just envy you, to racial or anti-Islamic rants which are probably being read by very real radical Muslim terrorists in Pakistan, Saudi-Arabia, Yemen, Jordan and Syria, or cells in Asia, Europe, Mexico, and MUCH closer to home, who do not love you nor the liberties you enjoy, would love to kill you slowly (video-tape that for their sites to inspire young future Islamakazis) and make is slow & very painfully! U-Tube even carries some of that COWARDLY sadistic shit! Freedom of the press, Amendment # 1! I really do not want a Jihad out on me forcing me to live on combat alert 24/7 for my remaining years, so I post what I feel in less-emotive ways. I don't leave my super-personal info on there except Spokane, a city of 200K and good luck finding me, or taking me out even if you do. For the best 20 years of my life I was a gung-ho member of an organization (The U.S. Army) now bent on al-Q's total destruction, and bring it on if you think I left that mind-set behind me when I hung-up my BDU's a decade ago if you want me bowing to Mecca with your AK-47 aimed @ my head as an incentive! Not while I draw breath. But take your anger out on me with a damn good post/retort NOT on a site I choose to patronize who may not give a hoot about my personal whims, or my takes on radical armed Muslims & radical armed gang-bangers on our own streets! But posting that to USA Carry opens the site up to unwanted attention/reprisal, so common sense is get vocal but don't crap in your own M16 or on USA Carry! USENET has 70K NG's to post radical stuff to with little fear of much but F's & C's from X-posting Trolls in return & U can hide behind a fake return e-mail address if U feel real Rambo but don't want real trouble knocking on your front door! This ain't USENET, thank God!
One last thing, running a good site takes one hell of a commitment, a chuck of ca$h, the best most modern hardware and software: firewalls, very good anti-malware progs, TB's of storage, bandwidth to accomodate multiple users all logged-on @ the same time, etc., which ain't free! USA Carry is quickly turning into a very good cyber source of information for those who do CC. It competes with older established CC sites that I have viewed, a few good ones and plently of CC forums now into UFO threads and the legality of whacking ET with a dum-dum round!!!! So look out USA Carry is quickly out-performing you! If you can send $30 of hot lead down range in 30 minutes, I know I sure can, then maybe just think about supporting this place and saving just one box of normal ball ammo for another day. If the info on USA Carry keeps one or 5 misinformed good folks from going to jail or keeps JUST one innocent person alive then your money has IMHO been well spent. I don't kiss-ass well and there are some minor things about USA Carry I would change if I were the owner/SYSOP, but I am not, I'm just a new user with a voice, and I look at the many parts/majority of USA Carry that IMHO give the best CC advice and links and legal information that I have yet to find in one place and I don't mind paying what it would cost for a good day at the range (ammo, supplies, range-fees, gun-shop goodies, targets, a Beretta refurb, and that CC gizmo I MUST grab B 4 I leave, and some chow on the way home!) once a year even if I got a jack-ass 'Loser' icon under my avitar. Or a fraction of the cost it would run me for a good lawyer to get me out of a world of legal hurt if I blew the crap out of my neighbor's frigging cat who KEEPS crapping on my lawn! Think about it fellow patrons! It's great to quote dead Presidents, but how many want to part with any of theirs? Disregard if you really can't, or already did. My NRA fees per year get me a nice monthly magazine, a bumper-sticker and loads of junk-mail, but I still pay my due$. Maybe 1 or 2 CC articles per year?
Regards and cheers to USA Carry, Lukem for running it all, and you most importantly for filling it with your posts, stories, gags, links, pictures and finding those obscure laws you post, or techniques the U.S. Army didn't even train me in! That's the stuff that might make a CC citizen walk away free and alive from a terrible moment in their lives, or languish in a jail for 10 LONG years paying off a mistake they would never have made if they didn't see the right way to handle something posted right here. That's a timber-wolf long winded howling rap.
