Gov, It can be frustrating having to deal with maggots, dog squeeze, or the likes of those who want to be disruptive for the sake of being noticed. I believe you intentions are sincere trying to figure out how to stop such a disruptive behavior. Like all Liberals they “burn out” and can not hold an intelligent conversation or do any sort of “Critical Thinking” . If you ever notice, Liberal will always spew opinions or feeeeelings. They can not sustain for any length of time.

    Bill
Or just totally lie about facts or history. Or just spin the perspective of what really happened in history.

Example: President "X" vetoed your beloved "fill in the blank" bill. What they didn't tell you was that it included "fill in the blank" (example:tax hikes). This is a favorite tactic of Liberals. It's why I want a bill to stand on it's own. We can then see who is voting on a single item bill, and how they voted. Quoting someone's record today means nothing, because you don't knlow what was tied to that bill that they just couldn't stomach.

I agree with you on the premise that a bill should stand on its own...
But what you don't understand or are overlooking is there is a vote on the bill itself and a vote on each and every stinking amendment thereof...
    Its already very granular...

    SO THEIR VOTE DOES MATTER...

As does quoting it, as long as it is taken in context and along with the sum of its parts...

Their voting record is the only thing that does matter... (What they say means nothing)

For instance, there was three separate recorded voice votes on Hughes Amendment #777 to the So-Called Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986 (AND NRA BACKED BTW); all failed and ethically challenged Charlie Rangel (D-NY) acting speaker of the house "Deemed it Passed"...

How come nobody ever FINISHES that old proverb about "don't criticize someone unless you walk a mile in his shoes?" It ends.... " that way, you'll have a mile head start on him, and you'll have his shoes, so he'll probably never catch you."

Seriously though. We all had to give an email address when we signed up right? The Admins have that information in case somebody gets totally out of hand and or the moderators can warn/ban them. That's what a forum is all about, people often disagree.

A word of caution. About two years ago, somebody said something on the SOS California forum which offended somebody. Thats the illegal immigration forum, Save Our State. Next thing he knew the FBI and Marshall's stormed in his house, ransacked the place, took all his guns and computer, and who knows what else. He was arrested, and his family didn't even know where he was for some time. He was arrested under the Patriot Act. I never saw what he said it was deleted, but you never know who's watching and who's trolling and I suspect he was set up because they were all pretty much decent people on there from what I saw over a few years.

I had to close down a forum I once had because somebody kept posting kiddie porn sites on it, and they were running a proxy, so every time I traced their IP it came out in a different country. I called the FBI, and they couldn't catch hum either. So I shut it down.

Personally, I try to never say anything that I wouldn't say in person. The truth is my sword.

Instead of mandatory profile info I'd like to see the names of those who give ratings. I know I wouldn't mind my login name being shown when I rated someone. This might prevent those who rate thumbs down simply because they disagree with a post instead of post contribution.

Mandatory profile information would only help drive down site membership. Or help fill the site with even more miss information such as false names, address, state's and so on. We would end up with a site full of Jim/Billy bobs who live in east bum ******** Usa. Would be no way of confirming any user information in ones profile with out asking for social security numbers. Less information is more when it comes to the internet and PUBLIC FORUMS. I love this site and the fact that people can say whats on their minds with out Government censorship ! That fact that this site is open to all walks of life believers and none believers alike! This site was set up for people who wanted/needed information on CONCEALED CARRY! It was not set up as a site/forum for only believers to come and post.

Old Owl is right when he said he wouldn't say anything here that he wouldn't say in person. But I'll bet that some of the people with the more hostile attitudes wouldn't be so quick to express their views in person. It is easy to hide behind your computer screen and make all kinds of rash and wild statements but some would become very meek in person. Everybody is entitled to an opinion. Opinions, like some parts of the anatomy, everybody has one, and they all are malodorus. I, as well as everyone on here, have an opinion on things, otherwise I would be sitting in front of the TV. However, I enjoy guns and associating with like minded people even if just on the computer. I value most opinions/comments I see here. I don't agree with them all but I do enjoy reading them. If I don't agree with you enough to make a comment, I will at least be civil and not do any name calling or otherwise speak derisively. Old Owl mentioned the individual who had law enforcement raid his home over statements he had made on his computer. With the government invading every other aspect of our lives, I would suspect that site such as this might be monitored as well by Big Brother. I think George Orwell's book "1984" was right on the money. Only the date was wrong.
