    Default Mandatory profile Info

We need o have it mandatory to have profile info filled out before a newcomer has the ability to post. We have way too many hatemongers on this site. maybe if they have to show and prove where they live, they will be a little more respectful, instead of being able to post hateful messages under obscurity.

What a shame some feel they can spout hatred/etc. just because of the anonymity of the keyboard. Many years ago I often "bumped heads" with a gent from near Denver. We met once near Augusta, Ga. at a gathering and became friends. He was not the same kind of person as his words showed.
Some really get their kicks by "trolling", by voicing "off the wall" theological viewpoints, and by simply wanting to argue about anything. We all get on the sites sometimes when angry/etc./etc. I have had to go back and ask forgiveness for "jumping on" even friends at times. For smart mouthing instead of being understanding or helping to solve a problem. We all have those times. There is an old "Indian proverb" that goes---"never criticize a man until you have walked a mile in his moccosins".

It is not safe to divulge too much private info on the internet. The 1st Amendment is more precious than the 2nd! I personally enjoy reading the differences of opinions that others have, sometimes I learn from them. I disagree with censoring anyone's freedom of speech. I stop reading post that are offensive and move on to the next.

If we do this, we run the risk of becoming like Pelosi who wanted to "look into" who was behind the "hate speech" against the Mosque in New York City. Censoring speech is easy as long as it is "the other guy" who does not believe like you. I find it easier to use my brain to filter out the crud people spout and be aware of them. To just silence people can open other cans of worms. I guess I would not want to be on a forum where everyone has to think just like me.

over there at the ranch they gives all new people a trial membership. If the new person does not posess clean morals, and a keen knowledge of the scriptures, full membership is not granted.
I think they should do the same here to keep out the non-belivers, heritics, and other trash.

While the 1st Amendment is awfully important, without the 2nd Amendment there would not be any 1st Amendment. Lest we forget.

    Wink reply to GOV5

Interesting that GOV5 is the one that is asking to identify and verify the identity of the users in this forum

GOV5 are you a Goverment agent? are you a goverment monitor?

Why do you need to know?

Do you want us to disclose our identity for what reason?

Do you not know that this is the United States and we have a right to privacy also.

Do you want us to register our weapons and ammunition also?

We are adults here and if there are people that hate on this forum and you can not handle it, how can you handle a confromtation in real life. And also, if you are Conceal Carry you need to be able to difuse and handle confromations without having to pull your guy or start a confrontation.

    don't you agree?

Sorry nothing personal but nobody is anonymous on the internet. It only takes a court order to request someones IP address and you can pin point that persons router and physical address.

Well said, maybe Gov will reconsider his thoughts.
