G50AE was interesting. He seemed to like trolling, but also posted serious things once in a while. And his serious posts always seemed to be rather insightful... (He definitely seemed to enjoy trolling more than being serious, though.)

To troll or be a troll that is the question. Wth did the term troll come from anyway?

From The Jargon File - New Hacker's Dictionary:
    1. v.,n. [From the Usenet group alt.folklore.urban] To utter a posting on Usenet designed to attract predictable responses or flames; or, the post itself. Derives from the phrase “trolling for newbies” which in turn comes from mainstream “trolling”, a style of fishing in which one trails bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. The well-constructed troll is a post that induces lots of newbies and flamers to make themselves look even more clueless than they already do, while subtly conveying to the more savvy and experienced that it is in fact a deliberate troll. If you don't fall for the joke, you get to be in on it. See also YHBT.
In short, it derives from fishing "trolling".

There may not be a troll, there are some real strange people out there.
Just because someone can legally get a weapon its does not mean they
have the know how to handle the weapon or the situation . Just remember common sense is not so common anymore.

Where I live there are some people who have CWL , but choose to carry open. Some love the attention, looks and stuff.I choose to carry concealed and let no one know. Some wont wear a shirt that say's "ruger" some wear HD shirt and don't even own a bike.

Next time you walk around Wal-Mart look around there is all kinds

You have to grab or bite the hook to get caught... Let it slide and laugh... It's a frequent occurrence here..

I noticed also when I post something, I always have 2 or 3 people saying guns dont save lives and etc. They are trying to rip on the 2nd.

    Things like:

    - A post saying he wants to get a NJ nonresident permit for when he visits his mother

    - Another post describing a situation where he sees a LEO draw his gun and approach the car he just stopped, and wants to know "Should I draw and back him up?"

    - Another post asking "What do I do now that I'm moving from AZ to IL?"

    - Another post asking "I checked 'target and hunting' instead of 'personal protection' by mistake on my application - what do I do??"

    The list goes on.

I'm wondering if we have a really bored member who has nothing better to do than antagonize with (what seem to me to be) stupid and/or bait questions.
I've seen a lot of trolling posts by members here with rather high post counts. It seems that if you're new here, and start a thread, you get called troll. You also get called troll if you ask a question that has an answer that is obvious to seasoned gun owners, but may not be to people just starting out. Also, disgreeing with long time members, admitting to drawing on someone who seemed to be a threat, not being an extreme right wing conservative, being an atheist, not being afraid of Muslims, or posting absolutely anything that might not fall in line with the group mind here is seen as trolling.

Some of the attitudes here are abysmal.
