Default Cookie problems with IE7

Anyone else having cookie problems with IE7? I have to refresh every page to show I've read all the threads then refresh the forums list to show they have been read. I like to refresh every so often to see if there are new post. It's getting to monotonous. I have cookies enabled and put this site in my Trusted sites. I have "Remember me" checked when I log on. If I close the browser or reboot it shows all the post for two days as not read. I have to log off and log on again to clear everything up. Any ideas, I've run out...:icon_sad:

I've had various problems with IE over the years. About a year ago I've switched to "Firefox". Haven't had any problems since.

I tried Firefox but didn't like it. IE6 and IE7 have worked fine everywhere but here.

I really don't know why this is happening but just send it to my programmer to look into.

Thanks Luke. It may be on my end. I'm very proficient with computers but as you get older the little things seems to elude the mind!

Ok, well I've found a new and better way to handle this. Instead of cookie based it will be stored in the DB. The only drawback is that when I switch, ALL threads will be marked as unread as it will be like starting over. Let me know what you think.

Whatever you think will work best is fine with me. I am not concerned about some post showing I haven't viewed them. That will resolve itself in a few days.

Sounds good to me. I know the post that I have read and everything should be back to normal after a few new post.

I just had to reboot for an update and the site went BLUE. It shows me that I haven't read anything since 04/02/08... This time it didn't reset the forum after logging off and back on. I'm having to open each forum and open/close each thread to clear everything. Also did the Main Category change order? General Discussion is first now???
