Mass email returns

Anyone else getting their outside email inbox filled with all the posts you ever replied to? I clear 5 and get 10 more. Damn I hope I didn't get a virus.

i get pages of this forums emails i think for each thread you reply to it sends updates on .......i just cleared hundreds of emails from my inbox i may have to figure out how to stop them from coming esp before i go out of town as i will come back with a too full mail box .......and it's time consuming deleting page by page when there are over 2,000 emails in my box at times not just from this forum but in general i get way too much to keep up with as it is

When you comment on a post, it automatically subscribes you to that conversation. Whenever there is a another comment, you are updated. I think there is something in your preferences that you can check so that it doesn't happen anymore. Can't remember off the top of my head.

Yes I have been getting a bunch of catch up mails about posts from the past 2 weeks.
I work in web hosting and it seems like these mails were building up in queue but not sending and whatever was causing the blockage is cleared so they are all being sent out yesterday/today.
Should stop soon but you can unsubscribe for each thread you replied to from the "thread tools" link above the first post and/or change your preferences to not auto subscribe to threads you reply to as well.

Eagleeyes, the "full WYSIWYG Editing" option means that if you click reply, you get the reply page with all the options like bold/underline/etc that you normally get by clicking "Go Advanced" from the "quick reply" box after the last post.

Yup and emails on threads in which the last comment was made weeks ago and nothing new. Something is up w thr site it appears.

clear all notications from subscribed topics, then set "to not automatically subscribe" when you post.

There was an issue with the email queue which I cleared up today. Notifications will be sent as they come in from here on out so you won't get a bunch at a time or late like they were coming before.

i just deleted pages from my email it's ok glad you fixed it for us
