Red face One Year of USA-Carry, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday to USA Carry.

I pulled-up probably the least read part of USA Carry under 'About USA Carry', there I found this entry made by Luke McCoy who had run a concealed-carry web-site in Nevada, was heading to Florida and realized the #1 site for concealed carry [Packing.org] was down. At first with a some research into FL's CCW laws and the ability to run a web-site he was going to make this a FL 'clone' of the Nevada one, then with a little more recce into the cyber world of concealed carry he found that no one major URL, or web-site on the World Wide Web [WWW] was servicing the entire 50 United States of America with novice to pro-level data on concealed carry weapons living. So with a leap of faith, some substantial co$t invesment I am sure to handle the anticipated traffic, was born USA Carry, which as of this post proudly boasts Members: 3,740 Threads: 3,886 and (get this) Posts: 39,011! "I launched USA Carry in September of 2007", quotes Luke.
One fine patron holds the distinction of staying glued to his keyboard more than Bill Gate$ and that cyber-top poster for USA Carry is (for now) HK4U (2,668). Funny all I ever see are tattedupboy all over the place, so I guess he knows how to touch-type 120wpm and reads EVERY thread. JK! I joined in Feb 2008 and was later allowed to set up the 'Veterans and Guns' social group which is doing real well with 38 solid patrons/patriots who swore an oath unique to our calling in life, I think it went: "I swear to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States of America and protect all the citizens who want to buy Glocks." The Glock-a-holics fan-club/social-group still holds #1 spot for the most members, but look back and you will see Vets & Guns gaining on you! What is it with Glocks? Glock Fan..NO diatribes, I do the long-winded posts, stick with your inimitable 1-line salvos! There is only one all-round best pistol in the entire world and EVERYONE knows its' the 1911 in ALL it's guises, builds and metamorphisms over a century. (That remark prolly put me on a few 'ignore lists'). And I don't even own one anymore but I sure miss carrying and firing one.
A year has passed and this site grew with one of the most notable additions to the functionality being the 'permit-renewal reminder' e-mail U will get if you signed up for that free service. Name me a better web-site that allows you access to SO much 2nd Amendment, CCW and weapons related data that is not charging it's patrons for their services, and I'll send them a link to USA Carry!
I would like to thank Luke McCoy and amddude and ALL the registered patrons that have made this a model concealed carry site for others in the business to admire or try to emulate, good luck!
Think about what you didn't have online a year ago, how much time searching links to get the answers posted right here and look how far we have come! I wonder how big and more impressive this site will be a year from now? I would guess global and probably a U.S. online FFL vendor too, just punch in the gun or kit you want and USA Carry will be not only a resource for thousands of accumulated years of gun-related patronage & experience but so much more, like maybe your online gun dealership! Even if that never comes to pass I want to take the opportunity to announce to all USA Carry patrons that we are one year old and growing. I hope this post generates a few (hundred) thank-yous to it's founder(s) and I am very proud to be a patron. Happy 1st Birthday USA Carry!
Luke, send me an e-mail 'drop-point' in private (you have my home e-mail addy) and I may be able to send a large bottle of champagne your way for your much appreciated services to the American gun owning public, (the sheep-dogs of this nation!) and may you be around running this site from a corporate office this time next year as a muti-million $$$ a year nationwide company.
My Regards,

Canis-Lupus

Wow. Time flies when you're having fun! I'd like to thank everyone for making the site what it is!

That being said, today I'll be doing a lot of updates to the site, state info, etc. As much as I'd like to take the kayak out fishing today I'll be glued to the couch working on the site and watching football.

Hey, what's wrong with me being all over the place? Ever since me and my girlfriend broke up, I have taken comfort in spending more time with something else I love, which is a website devoted to something close to my heart. Maybe when I get a new girlfriend, you won't be seeing as much of me, but until then, that's the way it's gotta be.

I have the great ability to check out the site and post quite often because my son owns our company so I can post at work as well as at home. That gives me a little advantage at the moment.
