| Luke, you have done an overall fine job with this site, and I feel the same way about the social group forums. Keep things exactly the way they are now. |

| Just about any site online where we register to join they send us a confirmation email, to which we then respond. It takes just a few minutes. I see little difference between doing that and joining a group here in order to post in that group. It's a non-issue for me. |

The groups is a good idea and a little check-out, (i.e. vetting by Canis Lupus kind of thing) is perfectly fine. Why not keep group-specific groups specific as there are plenny o' other places for others. So that's a hand up in the air in this corner for groups w/memberships.
