Joined the forum some time ago. Tried to post some Veterans information in two different forums in the last 24 hours, and got a message that my post will not be viewable until a moderator approves it. How much joining does one have to do? I fully inderstand that it's not my forum, but seems like the logistics of posting consist of one hoop after another.

We have a poll running on what is still listed as the Veterans and Guns social group, which is now called Military and Veterans. Jay, you have a right to post/vote into that poll, please check it out as well as the other 87 members of this morphed-out new s/g. I do agree that a social group set up for VETERANS with guns is a much different theme than Military and Veterans (catch everything mega-social group) and now we have on a web-site for Concealed Carry social groups about dogs, fishing, camping, and now BBQ and Cooking, which is interesting but very non-weapons related existing or proposed social groups.

There are no forums that need you to sign up for a group to post in anymore. This was changed two nights ago. The thread you tried to start with tons of links to other sites was automatically added to the moderation by my spam filter. I just approved it.

Jay you show as a member of Veterans and Guns, I have no idea who is calling the shots for Military and Veterans, so I seem to have been de-capped. Serving notice to any patrons waiting on admission to Military and Veterans, find out who runs that mess and ask them to join it. I am out of the game and the social group has changed way beyond anything close to what it started off as, a social group for armed Veterans, now it's a HALIBURTON 'posting for points' catch all social something I guess.

Canis, are you getting and reading the messages I have sent you? I am the one "calling the shots" I guess because as I've said in my messages and this thread, I HAD TO CONVERT THE SOCIAL GROUP FORUMS TO REGULAR FORUMS! I'm really not sure how else I can explain this. Your Vet group still exists! Is it me or does anyone else understand what changes I had to make by reading the announcement I posted that it at the top of every single forum on this website.

Then Luke, please allow it to remain Veterans and Guns, the Military and Veterans designation you assigned it is not one that I want any part of, it is confusing patrons and if I have not expressed enough rationale for the continued tenure of Veterans and Guns then please vote into the poll you can which is posted to Veterans and Guns. I have no idea who runs or even what the charter is for Military and Veterans, please do not use V & G's one for that purpose, terms like VFW, 'What was your rank?' a thread you started, Comp & Pen or Department of Veterans Affairs listed points of contact are not active duty military, sir they are post-military pure and simple.

It is staying the way it is. Anything relating to Military or Veterans on the forums should be in that forum. If you want to post messages about your Vets & Guns then post them on your group page with the messaging that is built into it.

As far as anyone who is confused, I have not receive 1 email or private message from anyone who is confused. If someone doesn't understand what happened and is confused, feel free to reread the announcement I have made and all the posts in this thread. If it still doesn't make sense then send me a message and I'll see if I can explain it better although I don't know how I can explain it any clearer than I already have.

I'd also like to add that I just read over some features of the new software upgrade and there looks to be something similar to the social forums built into it. I mentioned this as well but I guess no one read that and instantly flipped out when I had to make changes to the site to upgrade the software. I'll make an announcement once everything has been upgraded.

Some people need to learn some patience.
