Default How do you carry your M&P

Just to keep things going here what kind of holster do you use to carry your M&P. I use the Comp Tac Infidel with the tucker or the 1.5” belt clip IWB. I love this holster and I have one for all my carry guns.

I think I've posted these pictures somewhere on this forum before. I can't resist your invitation to do so again.

It took me nearly 3 weeks to work out all the techniques to move, stand, sit, drive, stoop and go to the urinal and stall. The techniques one develops is highly dependent on body form, especially belly prominence.

Deep concealment was a necessity for me so I was highly motivated. I knew before hand that deep concealment would cost me in draw time. My wife is barely tolerant of my ownership of handguns and most of my immediate family is quite against it. If not for the SmartCarry, family and social interactions with close hugs would give me away except for perhaps a middle of back carry. I even roughhouse and snuggle with the granddaughters without discovery. Middle of the back is unacceptable to me because of danger of spine injury and the inability to remove my suit jacket for casual business situations.

In spite of all the stuff I carry in the holster, it is virtually invisible with the slacks and suit pants I typically wear. Besides, most people do not stare a someones crotch in polite society. Careful selection of jeans can even be accommodated. I don't wear shorts, but others have reported good results. I wear the SmartCarry most every day, unless I'm just around the house. Even then I have my LCP BUG with me always. I am now completely comfortable with it and would highly recommend it to anyone willing to invest the time to work out the wearing techniques. Even then, if you buy it directly from SmartCarry you have 60 days to fall in love or get a no-cost annulment.

Looks like a good idea, but I did think it would be taking some getting use to. Thanks for the info.

Hey Howard i have something i need to ask you. I see you have the laser grips on the M&P and i would love to know how that works? What i mean is i know the laser grip takes the place of the back strap. So do you have to order the laser grips in a L,M,S? So if your hand fits a M grip you would order the M laser grip back strap? Or is it just one size?

They are one size, roughly equal to the medium according to the CT website. And they don't work with the thumb safety, so I'm going to have to get that removed to put them on my 45. Oh well...

On the other hand, I really want to know if that 14 round magazine is from S&W or another manufacturer?

Before I got the LaserGrips, I was alternating between the small and medium. When I got the LaserGrips, it felt better than either one. I believe it's a little fatter than the medium grip because of the batteries. Might have to verify this. For me, the LaserGrips fit me best. When I want to shoot without the laser, I leave it on the gun, but used the deactivation switch.

With respect to the thumb safety, my M&P 45fs had the thumb safety. Some people cut off the right tab, but leave the activation lever installed. This makes room for the LaserGrips. I chose to remove the entire activation lever. I really didn't want it anyway. I am tool-challenged, but found it very simple to do myself. I followed the first few steps of the DIY trigger job guide provided by Burwell Gunsmithing. http://www.burwellgunsmithing.com/mi...triggerjob.pdf

The 14-round magazine has the S&W logo. They seem relatively hard to find. Where I bought mine, they are no longer listed. G&R Tactical. The following site will take and order for it but say it is on backorder. http://www.c-r-enterprises.com/outdo...age=1&id=21448
