100 Days -Finally have it!!!

I have finally received my CWP today, exactly 100 days from the day it was mailed to them.
There is no way it should take so long. At least I have it now, should have taken the test sooner I guess.

Sent mine in,early June.My instructor said it would take less time if I sent extra documentation.So, I sent my CWP from FL. & my DD214.That was a waste of time.When I lived in Fl. it only took 6 weeks! Living in SC has been a pain in the ass(FL does'nt have state taxes)ect. IT doesn't make sense-my prints are on file with FL. AND the FEDERAL goverment and still I have to wait 90 days ?

It took mine 80-90 days 10 or so years ago...
and my son did his in late December 09 and it took exactly 90 days...

I think they hold on to them until near the deadline....

The guy with your application on his desk has 90 days to process it, so it takes 90 days. Nothing personal, just human nature.

and they have to wait until he or she gets back to them or not.... so that is part of the time line.

of course what your county sheriff has to do with it is a good guess... either you are a crook and your records are on file with the state and FBI or you are good to go.

It is still better than N.C.

I still can't see any reason for the process to take longer than 30 days in all but the most rare situations.

I think that trip to Walmart is required. That was one of the first places I went.
You do feel like everybody is staring, but my wife didn't even realize I was carrying.

Hah! Yes, I think you're correct... Wal-Mart was the first place I went as well. And I did feel odd for a while, too, as if everyone was staring. Now I feel naked without my gun. It's become second nature to carry.
