| MSRP: $436.00. The Taurus millennium pro series PT- 111, PT-132, PT-138, PT-140, PT-145 and PT-745. They are in the calibers of 9mm, .32 ACP, .380 ACP, 40 CAL, .45 ACP and .45 ACP with a slimmer handle holding 6+1, respectively. They come in blued (BP) or stainless (SSP) finishes. The PT-145BP comes in a case with two magazines, a magazine loader, a set of keys, an instruction manual and the warrantee card. The millennium series is a polymer/steel, striker fired pistol. This is a compact pistol at 6 1/8 inches long 1 1/4 inches wide 5 1/8 inches tall unloaded weight of 22 ounces. It is marketed mainly for concealed carry or back-up purposes. The millennium pro PT-145 has a da/sa trigger with a safety on the left side easily reached by the thumb of the right hand shooter. The PT-145 holds 10+1 with the base of the magazine forming the bottom of the grip. The magazine release is easy to reach with your right thumb. The weight and balance were good for a polymer/steel pistol. The sites are straight eight TM by Heinie. They are adjustable, locked with allen set screws. The PT-145 like other Taurus firearms has an internal lock that looks something like an allen head screw; you can now lock the pistol without the use of an external trigger lock. This maybe good or bad as you won’t know if it’s locked or not until you try to use it. The PT-145 just like other Taurus firearms has the limited life time warranty as I have had no personal dealings with customer service so I have no opinion. Now to the good stuff. Before going to the range I took the PT-145 apart cleaned and oiled it and checking it for any issues. The fit and finish were both nice and tight. This pistol is easy to take down, clean and reassemble. I was excited to get to the firing range with this pistol for the first time. I had to wait a week before I could finally go to the range. I started at the 25 foot line not wanting to be disappointed; it was a compact after all. As a 3 1/4 inch barrel .45 I expected more recoil from it and my first shots on the target showed it. Putting a couple magazines thought it I was anything but disappointed. I was impressed it had controllable recoil. Easy to get back on target quickly. I loaded a couple more magazines I moved back to the 25 yard line and took aim. This time I knew what to expect and was rewarded with a ten round shot group of about 7 to 8 inches with no fliers. With the next magazines the groups got tighter as I got more comfortable with it. This ended with a magazine unloaded into the head of the target. I put a total of 200 rounds though it with the only problem being that the empty magazine would not hold the chamber open sometimes. With the balance, comfort and the accuracy of the PT-145 I’m glad to add it to my collection. I believe that I got a bargain buying this. Now with a couple thousand trouble free rounds it can build my trust and become one of my concealed carry weapons. By Zebowtie AKA Charles P. |

| Thanks for the review. I'm glad you like it. I have a taurus PT140pro and have never had an issue with it.

| Great review. I just picked up a PT145 about a month ago, and so far it is great. I have put about 300 rds through it without a hiccup. It is close to becoming a regular carry for me instead of my Baby Eagle. I like the extra power.

| I am considering purchasing a pt 145. My only hangup is the fact that I have had two different 24/7 pro.45's that I had to send back due to constant problems. Any suggestions on the mil pro .45 sub-compact? |

Welcome to USA Carry tacoma4801. I too am in the market for a concealed carry .45 and have been leaning toward Taurus for a while now. This review will probably sway me even more.

| I have a question, not about the PT145, but about the Millenium PT 140 Pro. I have noticed that a few of you out there own one, and have been having trouble finding a holster for it. That is actually how I stumbled on this site (I was searching for Concealed Carry Holsters). I have found two holsters that "work", one (a Fobus RU-97) is actually sold with the statement that it is for the P140 (along with about ten other handguns) the other (a Fobus HK-1) I got lucky and it fits (somewhat). Does anyone know of a "Concealed Carry Holster" made specifically for the Millenium PT140 Pro? I am looking for a "High" Paddle or Belt, preferably Kydex, but would definently use Leather or Ballistic Nylon. Side note: I am also looking for a Concealed Carry holster for a SAA 45 w/a 3-1/2" barrel. (By the way; You can probably guess my name from the title -"Hunter" I live down south, and I think this is a great Web site. |

| Get my new PT145 in a few days. Can't wait to carry it instead of my j-frame. I live in CA but go to NV frequently, where, I have a CCW. My new gun is on the California approved list. PT145P-CA (Blue) / Blued Steel/Polymer. Whats the difference between pt145p and 145p-ca? Appreciate any info about the PT145P-CA. S&W 686 S&W 442 CZ 83 .380 |
