    Default Maine carry without recognized permit

    I maybe be going to Maine this summer. without a Maine recognized permit, how and where can I carry or not? I am mostly just wanting to have it in my vehicle. I have the understanding that Vermont and New Hampshire are big on gun rights, how is Maine on that?

    The "Conceal carry permit information" tab at the top of the page should be able to provide the information you are looking for regarding Maine.

    You can apply or an non resident permit... Very easy and cheap. Don't know bout the time frame though

    All non residents go through the state police. Last I heard 4 to 6 weeks. Where in Maine you going?
