Receipt for payment normal?

I just received a receipt for payment today for the money order I sent in with my non-resident application. Is this normal I have Fl. and NH and just got the permits is this a good thing?

I would consider it good....it gives you a date to start counting from.

I always demand a receipt when I pay cash for anything. I have been rooked too many times.

I don't see a different time frame for non-residents....so 45 days from the date on the receipt.

53 days total with weekends a holiday and snail mail time not to bad.

yep, completely normal. I got my permit about 2-3 weeks after I got the receipt.
