Considering how much Obama Hates guns... It sounds out there....
I read in the paper where WA House and Senate are reading a bill to make it legal to fire weapons with a suppressor attached. Anybody else heard of it?

This is from the NRA-ILA site.
"Monday, February 7, House Bill 1016, sponsored by state Representative Brian Blake (D-19), passed the Washington State House by a vote of 88-4. This legislation has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee"

Yes I heard about this. Hope it passes. BTW this is a Washington State SB not national.
Bill passed Senate today, heading to Gov. Christine Gregoire.

Damn it, now I gotta save up to pay for 3 tax stamps.
But it will be worth it.
With a strong vote from both House and Senate I think she will have to sign. See NRA-ILA :: Washington: Legislation to Legalize the Use of Firearm Suppressors Headed to Governor and http://www.examiner.com/gun-rights-i...nt-to-gregoire. The vote was Washington Senate by a 47 to 0 and State House by an 88 to 4.

I sure hope the governor signs this. A good buddy of mine went through all of the hoops, bought the stamps, bought the threaded barrel, bought the suppressor, so now he is waiting for delivery of said device. I mentioned the bill and he was a bit upset that after all of that he had done, now the state is carrying out this bill. I guess patience is a virtue. I will be taking the same path as soon as the bill is signed by the governor. I will suppress my Para-Ordance LDA .45. Should work out fairly well!!

The Gov. doesn't have to sign it. This will become law as long as she doesn't VETO it. Even, if she does veto it, the legislature can override it. Given the unanimous vote in the senate, i doubt she'll veto it.
So... In 90 days, it'll almost certainly be law.
