Default ‘Town Hall Seattle’ hosting anti-gun program May 16

Western Washington gun rights activists are already circling May 16 on their calendars when at least some plan to attend a program on “Gun Violence and ‘Living for 32’,” sponsored by Washington CeaseFire and hosted by Town Hall Seattle.

Actually, the best course of action would be to just let it go. Last time they had Brady Campaign Paul Helmke there at the exact same venue they got 37 people to show up. There was some author doing a book signing there at the same time and she got tons more people to show up for her book signing than the Brady Bunch did. If pro-gun people did not show up and turn it into a media event, there would be ZERO coverage of this thing. Nobody is going to be interested in it at all until the pro-gun people make it a cause for interest.

BTW, "The Town Hall" is a completely private venue, ran by a non-profit organization. It is not associated with any municipal government, so state preemption for carrying firearms does NOT apply.

You bring up a very valid point. Good observation. Appreciate the information. It makes a lot of sense what you said.
