    Question Gunsmiths in Wa?

    Howdy folks,

Just curious if any of you know a reliable gunsmith around the eastside area (redmond, monroe...ish)? With my work schedule I don't have alot of time to go out and about searching one down.

I've got a Model 700 I need to get refloated or maybe a glass bedding and a model 70 that needs to be reblued and bedded. Thanks for the help.

    Crunch

    Default Good gunsmith in WA

I can highly recomment Wisner's in Chehalis, WA. It takes them a bit longer than others due to the high volume of work that is sent to them from all over the country. But they do OUTSTANDING work of the highest quality. They are also metalsmiths who can fabricate parts. They earned their reputation by making reproductions of firearms that were no longer available. Web search turns up their information and their web site.

Have you contacted Remington and asked them how much they would charge? A buddy of mine sent back his Mod 700 for some custom work and was very pleased with what they did. I believe he had some work done on the bolt and trigger group.
