Default NRA-ILA supporting Constitutional Carry in Iowa. Wisconsin is next (we hope)

The NRA-ILA has pulbicly come out in SUPPORT of Constitutional Carry for the state of Iowa. Where as Wisconsin continues to make progress regarding our right to keep and bear arms, and where as the Wisconsin Legislature is expected to take up concealed carry legislation in 2011, we would HOPE the NRA-ILA would come forward and support CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY for Wisconsin in 2011 as well.

Well unfortunately, until we can get rid of the NRA Liaison for Wisconsin, Jordan Austin who seems to have his head stuck up Gene German's Keester it ain't happenin. Austin is a hot head who blows off steam at anyone who does not agree with what he says and all he cares about is mandated training. Not sure what is in it for the NRA besides maybe some quick cash for NRA certified instructors.
I tried speaking with Austin on the Constitutional Carry issue a few weeks ago and he went off on a tangent and started calling me every name in the book because I had passed on his contact info in a forum after he had already given me permission to do so. He is a hot head plain and simple and if he perceives that you are working against anything he has going he flies off the handle.
The best think we could do is work with his superiors and get them to jump on the band wagon. Cut out the middle men and get the job done!
What makes the people in Iowa any better than the people in Wisconsin?

At the moment there is no such thing as truly legal "constitutional carry" in any populated area of the country. The Federal Gun Free School Zones Act of 1995 makes it a felony for anyone with a functional firearm to travel on any public sidewalk, road, or highway that passes within 1000 feet of the property line of any K-12 school in the country. The only exception is if the person has a carry-license physically issued by the State where the school is located, the Federal GFSZA 1995 doesn't even make an exception for a permit holder carrying under a reciprocity agreement.

Concealed Carry Reciprocity is CURRENTLY banned under Federal Law. (Important)
