ok.
Well it wasnt being "done wrong" the wind caught the coat.(oops! hahaha)As far as store owners are concerned, many were unaware of the law and the contact was more educational for both parties as opposed to making a political statement. Appreciate your reply and your suggestion to practice more, but I think I did ok.Its better to have open lines of communication with the LE people than to take the more radical approaches to CCW that I have seen out here.
Aside from that, the only issue here is that the "no carry" or "no transport" o trains NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. Specifically the Metra line in Illinois.
Im contacting a law firm since I believe that it IS legal(under 720.5/24 ILCS) to transport weapons in a secure case in Illinois. Once the train is OUTSIDE Illinois, other laws and CCW laws apply. Should they cite 'federal law',the response to that is simple....second amendment.I have carried BOTH openly and concealed on public transportation for the better part of 15 years and this to me is an attempt by the anti gunners at infringement. But I COULD be wrong.(sarcasm "on")
Another focal point here is I dont see how a company policy can over ride LAW. To me this policy violates my rights and those rights of other Lawful Carriers.
