Yup, it's true, handguns are pretty much banned in the UK and although a lot of the cops would love to carry, it's not really on the government agenda.
By the way: only people in Sherlock Holmes movies say Bobbies these days - my favourite UK police nickname is The Fuzz. In some parts of the country they're also called The Rozzers or The Bizzies. No idea why!![]()
