Women's Self Defense Books?

I want to keep my lady as safe and protected as possible. One the best ways I can think to do that is for her to be able to better take care of herself. She's by no means helpless but we could all be better prepared. We're planning to take some self defense classes together but I'd also like to get her some books to check out.


The Cornered Cat comes HIGHLY recommended and from what I've seen so far it deserves it (plus the author seems like a great lady)

I was thinking of ordering that one in addition but wanted some feedback. What other books would you recommend? They don't all have to be specific to women (I have a lot to learn as well) but ones that apply to the real world.
