    Hi Frank,
I appreciate the invitation and thank you profusely. You'll have to forgive me while I bumble my way around this board, but I've never seen such an awesome layout before. Shit, before long I'll be getting tickets from the city because the lawn hasn't been mowed and the pizza boxes are obscuring the sun!
Last Army intel type I met was in Puerto Rico about 11 years ago. I got a good deal, short-notice flight to the beach to pick up some bomb fuzes during Operation Ocean Venture (Insert year here____) and our staff intel guy gave me a package to give to the Army G-3 bubba. Of course, I fucked with him before handing the pics over ("How do I know that you are who you SAY you are, sir?") and went to Weapons Department to set up the ordnance delivery.
I got up the next morning with a monster hangover and about 2 hours of sleep, and started walking toward the airfield, which you guys had dropped into, secured, and made your own.
Here's me, an enlisted guy in khakis with gold collar devices, and 700 Soldiers coming the other way on the same side of the road. Every swinging dick on that road saluted me, and I seriously considered taking off the piss-cutter and the shirt and saving my arm. After a couple dozen, I just started smiling and looking back at them.

Hi Frank. Good to hear from you. Seeing your picture brings back a lot of memories.I retired from the Army as a SFC in 1980 with 26 yrs. I also had 2 yrs in the Navy Reserve and 31/2 years in the Marines. I am fullly retired now and love it. I fish, shoot, wood working and travel to see my children in Gulf Shores and Sharpsburg, Md. I have 11 long guns and 6 hand guns.
I did carry a Ruger 9mm, but it is a little bulky, especially in summer. I just purchased a Ruger LCP 380 and I really like it. You can carry it just about anywhere and it does not show. For such a small gun, it shoots really well.
    I noticed that you have a mdl: 99 Savage 300. I have one and also a 30-30
    99. Guess I will close this long message. Appreciate what you all are doing and keep safe.

Hey Frank!. My second friend. First off, thank you for your service. Second, that's quite a list of firearms you've got there. No AR's? Guess you get to shoot the real stuff, huh? Good luck and be safe.

Hey Frank...added you to my friends/contact list. So you've made the military a career. Thanks for your service!! We have our eldest and his wife with three grandchildren in Tawain as missionaries. Next one down in age finally graduated from college Florida Seminoles (he made a long stint of it) but proud he stuck with it. Our next one graduated 1 1/2 years ago with his degree in criminology (Florida Gators and yes the two brothers had some lively debates). He's married and a fireman in the army @ Fort Ruckers. And he said he's going for his masters now. Last but not least our one and only girl is coming home in about 3 weeks from her try at life in the big city of Cinncinnati, OH. And thankfully got her belly full and is going into the Navy in December. Glad you said hi Frank, hope we can converse back and forth from time to time.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.
