About USA Carry
Back in March 2007 I decided to start the website
Nevada Carry which was focused just on Nevada Concealed Carry information. I had just received my first ccw permit a few months before that and wanted to create a site that had all the information I had collected while researching. I have a web development background so it was fairly easy for me to get it up and running.
After a few months of running Nevada Carry I was preparing to move to Florida. So I decided I was going to start the same kind of site for Florida but then realized Packing.org, the largest concealed carry website, had been down for a while. After reading up on the situation, it seemed that it wasn't coming back online. So instead of doing the site for Florida I decided to start USA Carry.
I launched USA Carry in September of 2007. I had minimal information at first but with the help from other members of the site and doing research on the weekends and late nights we started to get more and more information on the site.
It has now grown into one of the largest concealed carry websites on the net. Not only do we have
information on permits in every state but we have
permit reciprocity maps,
the latest firearm news, and an entire
concealed carry community that has really taken off.
With almost 3,500 members now, it is a VERY
active forum. There are anywhere from 500-1000 people on the forums at any given time. And we have recently expanded the community to include
profiles,
user albums,
blogs,
groups,
reviews, and more.
Our latest feature is the
Permit Reminder. This allows you to track your permits (or anything else for that matter) and we will send you email reminders to update your permit to make sure you don't let them expire.
