The bad news is that it seems the attempts to make this happen are so shallow that all that really can come out of them is restrict good law abiding people. So lets talk about what would be sensible laws and requirements.

Do you think it is reasonable and sensible to perform a background check on all firearm transactions, even private sales?

How do we decide mental competency? Do we fear discussing our concerns with doctors with the possibility of our doctor making the recommendation if we are competent to own firearms?

We don't and no.

How many rounds is enough? Should there be limits and restrictions? Ban Internet sales?

Never enough. No. No.

I would like to hear thoughts and ideas. Pro and for. I am not sure of all the answers but I do believe that we as 'gun owners' should help mold these thoughts not avoid them.

Lets hear it.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

No such thing as sensible gun control.

People want safety from criminals? Get a gun and defend yourself.

There is no such thing, Sensible would be Punishing the Criminal equal to the crime They committed.

Sensible gun control: 1. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction
    2. Always assume the gun is loaded.
    3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your ready to KILL WHAT YOUR SHOOTING..
    4. Use a two hand grip ( I know it's not usually on the lists, but....

What does sensible gun control mean? Lets break it down:

Sensible - Adjective 1. (of a statement or course of action) Chosen in accordance with wisdom or prudence; likely to be of benefit: "a sensible diet". 2. (of a person) Possessing or displaying prudence.

Synonyms reasonable - wise - judicious - perceptible - rational

Gun Control - 1. Hitting exactly what your aiming for repeatedly.

Now put it together: sensible gun control is a wise gun owner acting rational and prudent hitting his intended target repeatedly until it is reasonable to stop.

    I don't see the problem?
