Looking for a comfortable IWB holster.

Rate this Entry
I am a new CCW license holder and am looking for some help on obtaining a comfortable IWB holster, I have a Ruger SR9C. I have seen the N82 line and read up on their line, I have also looked in to the alien holster line. Any and all comments or directions would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Crossbreed super tuck - is great for my Ruger SR9 but that double stacker mag and pistol are heavy for EDC.

Oldfaithful holsters - for my Ruger LC9 & Taurus Millinieum 140 does a great job at about 12% cheaper than above.

And lately I have been seeing Alien Gear IWB's that look worthy.

Either way you need to spend some money and get a good belt from a gun show or store.

Take a look at Remora Holsters, They have a web page, they are located in Florida and make several good holsters. I use one of their pocket holsters for my Glock 26 and an IWB for my Glock 19. They have several excellent ammo holders. They can customize with many different options. I think the prices are excellent and depend of how you choose to customize your holster. They have treated me well and they stay busy. Very nice holsters in my opinion.

I have the same gun and have an Alien IWB. I am a thin small framed man and at first found my holster to not lay flush against my body. Then I used a hair dryer and flexed the Kydex wings in about 5-10 degrees and now it lays flush on my body and conceals the double stack pistol very well and very comfortable.

+1 on crossbreed. there was a great article/review of the alien gear IWB on this very sight. I have not used the alien gear myself but it is intriguing for under $30

Give Alien Gear a close look. I chose this IWB holster because of its adjustability and choice of clip styles. You can adjust ride height and gun angle like most holsters of this design. Unlike other holsters, you can adjust the tension on your firearm fit within the Kydex mold, loose for easier draw, tighter for secure slip free fit. You can also buy additional Kydex molds if you change guns or carry different guns at different times, no need to buy and break-in a complete new holster.

I have been a CC and open carry for many years and have tried innumerable holsters as well as advised the students in my firearms training business on both carry guns and holsters.

You would do well to check out Bob Cook's holsters. He is located right here in Lawrenceville, GA and is doing some fantastic things with kydex. He is also very receptive to custom work without charging a "custom price." His website is Cook's Holsters.

I have also had great experience with multiple versions (IWB and OWB) of Blade-Tech holsters (Holsters | Blade Tech Gun Holsters | Knives and Tactical Gear and Dale Fricke's line, especially for appendix/Suarez-type carry with RMR sights (Dale Fricke Holsters - Custom Kydex Holsters and Mag PouchesDale Fricke Holsters).

Google tactipac. I carry a 9mm xd service or Taurus judge easily and no belt needed. They even have a deep carry model.

I just got my Cooks Adjustable IWB for my Glock 26... Fantastic! I ordered from their ready to ship on Monday... got it on Tuesday (I live in Georgia). Customer service is second to none. The quality of the holster is excellent and it is the thinnest IWB that I have used. Very little printing. I love it!
Buy one! You will love it!

I would recommend checking out the concealed carry holsters over at Just Holster It, LLC. They have great products with great reviews and fast service. You can get a Hybrid holster, Rigid IWB or even the latest Knight Guard.
