.40 cal

I love my first gun. .357 mag taurus 605 model. I let my wife shoot it and now she is in love with it , and wants one. except with a red frame. (go figure). Now I feel that I need more power so Im looking at the Gen4 Glock 27 .40 cal S&W. I wonder if there is a certain caliber limit in different states for a ccw permit holder? I know there are powerfull guns out there and I have fun shooting them, and I do plan to get me my share of them but for now, I just need some guns for concealment.

I am not aware of any caliber limitations in any state. I carry a .40 cal every day very comfortably with a tactical holster.

In SC it is a size limit not a caliber limit, and it is no more than 12" in overall length.

I've been told that California, shiver, does not allow 50cal that's why S&W produced the .460mag. Because .500 mag is not legal in California. I don't know how true it is though.

.50 cal is the limit for civilian ownership, I think. i wouldn't be surprised if CA, NY, or IL comes up with a .177 limit at some point.

http://smartgunlaws.org/fifty-caliber-rifles-policy-summary/ If these guys have their way, they'll pass this ignorant law banning ALL 50 cal weapons and ammo. because we all know a 500 grain bullet out if a 5" barrel will travel 3000 feet and penetrate a tank inside a reinforced concrete bunker.

Yeah, that sounds about right. If i'm going to get a .50 cal in the future, then I'd better hurry up and do so huh, I was told they are thinking about banning the .50 cal. for good. It might be illigal in the future but for the zombie appocolypse, I'd better get me something that would knock a few heads off! lol
