Texas allows businesses to post what is called the "30-06" sign. The 30-06 refers the part of the Texas law regulating where Concealed Carry is authorized. The sign has to meet certain specifications, one of which it the letters must be one inch high. Someone was selling signs that the letters were only a half inch high. So we can ignore them as well as “No Guns Allowed” signs. Since the law says businesses can post the signs, they cannot be used by state/local governments. So when I go to the library (except elections days) I ignore the no guns allowed sign by the door and am not breaking the law. My credit union used to have a sign that was half an inch high, so I could ignore it as well. They took down the sign, so now there is no doubt that we can carry inside the building.
