Does anyone have experience with the seatcarry holster that is advertised on this site?

Islander, please clarify that for me: I know I can have a sidearm - loaded or not - in the closed and latched glovebox or console of my car, with or without a SC CCW...correct? But if I have a SC CCW, can I not be driving my car with the sidearm holstered at my hip? Must it be secured in the glovebox or console? Just curious...

No, I needed a place to store my CCW Badge.

Ektarr, South Carolina law is somewhat odd on the subject of vehicle carry. Reguardless of whether or not you hold a CCW permit, you can have a loaded sidearm in the closed glovebox or center console. And if you hold a CCW permit, you may also carry on your person. The two are not mutally exclusive, i.e. if you have a CCW you can carry either way. There is a bill working in the legislature that would broaden the methods of vehicle carry permitted under state law. If this bill passes, the seatcarry system might become a viable option for carry in SC, we'll have to see what the final law looks like.

Building on G50AE's answer, you can only carry on your person in your vehicle if you have your CWP, but if you do, it MUST be concealed.

    Yeah, that's correct.

You'd think that since they are advertized on this site, someone would have bought their product. I guess not.
