Crossbreed Holsters, a look at thier warranty behavior Good or bad.

Hello guys, i have a couple of Crossbreed holsters for a glock or two. Have used a particular one on and off for about two years or so and the kydex is now cracking around the forward rivet and also several vertical cracks at the forward half of the top of the (kydex portion, obviously) holster. Soooo, on to Crossbreeds handling of this...

This will be updated anytime a new interraction is done by me or by Crossbreed.

Thurs, 6/2/11: I called thier toll free number and nobody answered any of the extensions, did not leave a V.M. I sent a message to them regarding need for warranty work via the online contact form.

6/3/11: Still noone answering any of the extensions, but did leave a v.m. today. Also, another form message via the website.

Hmmm, as soon as I posted the previous (initial) post I recieved a phone call as a result of the v.m. I left this morning. The pleasant lady informed me to simply send the holster to them at the address noted on website and they would do the repair. She stated turn around is currently two or three business days.

So far, a "B" grade from me. Would be an "A" if warranty directions were on the website and if they answered thier phones...

  4. Keep us posted. Its informative for people like me whom have yet to purchase.

  5. Initially it sounded to me like you got your panties in a wad over a phone call where you, the consumer, failed to leave an voicemail. Given the volume in that business it's best to exercise a little patience as well as leave VM's and email messages. They'll get back to you as soon as they can as every customer is important. A 3 day turn-around should tell you that.

Be patient with them, they'll make things right with you. Mark has a good team working for him at Crossbreed.

    Warranty info:
    Warranty/Guarantee

The shipping address was with the holsters they send AND it's clearly on their website for those who might need the information. Most manufacturers will require a RMA number, which is known as a Returned Merchandise Authorization, to my recollection Crossbreed does not.

Wow. i hope the tone of the original post did not indicate my "panties are in a wad", my aim here is to track the behavior of the company as countless others have done with various companies.

    1) The actual method to use i.e.: RMA's or not, just mail it in and if so what to include, any original information and if so what information is needed, attention so-and-so or not, etc, is in fact NOT on the website.
    2) Most companies will answer the phone at least once (out of three times over a day and a half) when you call them during their stated hours of operation.

No, i am not thinking their service is sub-par nor was I upset at all during any phase of this interaction thus far. I am simply tracking my interactions and posting them here for all to see. After all, they are a new sponsor here and being that I am a repeat customer of Crossbreed over the recent years I thought you would like to know something more about them than what is, or is not, posted on the website.

No need to ask me to "be patient". Believe it or not, there are those of us who will start such posting trails such as the one I started here, out of the desire to provide information, bad OR good, to people and nothing more than that. I anticipated all along, once they got back to me, that I would be well taken care of and I still believe that. I will still continue to post all interactions with the company here for all to see, regardless of, well, you know.

I hope this helps someone out there understand that by reading a post twice before responding, you will get the true flavor of the post and prevent erroneous conclusions and unneeded panty-wad postings. After all, a "B" grade is NOT bad. The two reasons I gave for it, rather than an "A", are true. It is the grade assigned by me and nobody has to care what I think or what grading I may subjectively give. It's MHO only.

This thread was started by me simply to provide information to anyone who might want to do business with Crossbreed. The company will likely do very, very well and if so then everyone will see that! The opposite would also be posted. Any and all interaction, including time lines will be posted. Why not provide the information as to where i started with them, such as NOT having the original paperwork that came with the holsters? Why not see how they handle a disorganized customer, such as myself? Why not indicate how many times i call them and get no human on the line? Why not tell you they called immediately upon getting my v.m.? (that's a good thing, ya know...)

So, let's keep the wad posts at a minimum here, shall we? That way, it's an easier thread to follow for those interested in seeing first hand the customer service level of Crossbreed. You have my promise that I will post only the actual "going's on" between me and Crossbreed. Yeah, ME AND CROSSBREED. <------------

  7. Crossbreed Holsters

Patience is a virtue. I have personally purchased a holster from Crossbreed. A friend of mine has as well and he needed some additional customer service and was treated well. I will be buying another one from them. Great folks there.

I've purchased several holsters & belts from Crossbreed. They have all been excellent! The few times I've emailed Mark or sent him a PM on XDTalk, he has responded within hours.

IMHO; you will find NO better company to do business with than Crossbreed.

Just recieved an email from Crossbreed, in response to my online "contact us" website form, giving the how to's. As the nice lady on the phone earlier stated, just mail it in with a note stating name/address and they would take care of it. I will be UPS'ing it this afternoon.

Opinion: So far, very good service!

they have awesome cust service, i had a very small crack in mine and emailed them as to how can i fix it myself, simple answer in return "send it to us we will fix at no charge to you other then u sending it to us." 1 week later, exactly 7 days there was a BRAND new one waiting for me in the mail.... cant beat that!!!

crossbreed is a great company and mark is a awesome dude. next time just send an email, i seems to be the best way to get in contact with them.. they will treat you right!

They are a relatively small shop in terms of the firearm universe which means they aren't always available on the phone but have always been very prompt (less than 24hrs) with email responses from me and my friends. Just from the ones I know about, there are 3 crossbreeds in my circle of friends
