Maybe the boar was jacked up on amphetamines

Have you ever happened upon a wild sow with a litter of pigs? If you ever do you might change your mind about hogs not attacking. Spending 2 hours up a tree to keep your ass from being eaten up is not fun. I have seen many rural folks kill hogs at butchering time with just a 22 Short and it surely is a lot less powerful than a 380.

It's a joke.
So you go hunting with JHP? Interesting choice of rounds for that purpose. LOL!
So I'm curious.. In your experience, what material does cause a JHP to expand?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say that I have owned two 380's in my life time (a Berretta many years ago, and now a Ruger) both of whch have served me well. The Ruger is a bit smaller than I would have liked, but was a B.D. gift from my son:). Personally though, I am saving for the Springfield DX9 as I have handled one and fell in love with it. However, I have no doubt with the ammo I have that my 380 would save me.

Wild boar attacks four people in Berlin

Authorities say they shot and killed a 120 kilogram (265-pound) wild boar after it attacked and injured four people including a police officer in a residential neighborhood. Police said Tuesday the boar bit a 74-year-old man on the back and leg, and knocked a 74-year-old woman to the ground and injured her hip on Monday afternoon in the Charlottenburg area of the capital. It also bit a 24-year-old woman before she climbed aboard a parked car to safety. All three were treated in a hospital.

Police say when a police officer arrived, the wild boar attacked him and cut his leg before he pulled his gun and killed the animal with "multiple shots."

From Taurus. I called to check after another posted pics of his TCP after a couple of mags of BB. It fractured his slide right at the ejection port.
Taurus recommended to me not to use it as it exceeds specs of the pistol.
I actually have been using Aguila 90grn hollow points which seem, to me, to be quite hot on their own based on felt recoil verses CCI and CD.
That little pistol kicks hard enough with commercial rounds as it is!
I do not know the consequences of using BB on a very limited bases but I don't think I want to take the chance.
    YMMV

    Thanks CharlesMorrison
I have a TCP and have put a few rounds of BB through it. They make standard and +P ammo.
I have a friend that has put BB in his TCP all went well.
I like the idea that the round will go deep. Winchester makes a FMJ FP, I may try some of them.
One thing to keep in a watch our for is bullet setback, I have not noticed any on my gun, but it does not get shot that much.

  9. Stan45 do you know what caliber the Berlin Police use? I know years ago they carried a .32 acp but I imagine now they have moved up to either a .380 or 9mm?

Both my wife and myself carry a Walther PK380 loaded with Speer Gold Dot hollow point ammo and we have no fear of putting someone down at close encounter ranges.

A short story. 2 day's ago my oldest son shot a deer with his .50 cal. smokepole and it was not the best shot. The deer was still alive with a shaterd spine and lifting it's head. He shot the deer with my .380 from several feet away and put it down for good. Upon looking for the spent slug I found it at the top of the brain just under the skull cap. It had traveld about 8 inches through the neck and into the brain. The slug went out to .408 from .355 and hit the scale at 86.0 grains from 95 grains. It expanded very well and retained a lot of the original weight. It in fact did it's job.

I do not know. Good question.
