Les, how do I go about getting a FL non-resident permit? I have been told that you need a FL and a Utah non-resident permit, which will cover you in about 30+ states.

Ohio depends on the county. Some sheriffs drag thier feet because they dont like the shall issue rule. Some go pretty quick. In Ohio you can go to next door county and apply there (thats what I did). Got mine in a few days from the county next door, took my brother several weeks from our home county..

That seems like a long time. Resident permits are long but not that bad. Good luck.
My fiance has been waiting almost two months for someone from the Maine State Police to just call him back so he can be qualified to carry in all states as retired law enforcement. They are getting pathetic. He has contacted at least 5 people, left messages, and not one has returned his call.

Florida application procedure. You don't NEED both...but if you can afford them they are the best two to have.
