Hey does anyone reading this thread live in fresno county california and have a concealed weapon permit issued from this county- just curious on the process - i moved here a few months ago, i travel alot and havent had the time to go to the sheriffs office but im going to make my way there next week? I talked to the lady that handles permits on the phone, she said it is pretty simple process - just wanted to know from someone that has already been though the process

You'll do better to inquire at CALCCW than you will here:
    California Concealed Weapon (CCW) Forum
    Fresno specific:
    http://www.calccw.com/Forums/county-...no-county.html
Remember that in CA there are 58 counties and 58 different sets of rules for issuing them. Fresno appears to be one of the better choices for CCW.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

That's a shame. I joined CalCCW several years ago but, since there's no CA non-resident permit or respect for other states CCW I don't bother to go there any more.
