Thread: Wisconsin CC bill up for vote

  1. Wisconsin CC bill up for vote

Wisconsin CC bill up for vote, no permit, no training. If this passes, Wisconsin still needs a bill that will allow a resident to get a permit, that requires training, background check, so other states will honor Wisconsin residents the right to carry.

I'm surprised that we've gotten this far. People of Milwaukee and Madison just jump on the negative (build fear) bandwagon. It explains why Wisconsin is one of the last two states to get CCW. If they would research the other 48 states as well as look at Vermont, Alaska, Arizona, and (I think) Montana for their opinion of Constitutional Carry things might be different. I plan on getting a Wisconsin permit (I have a Utah and waiting for Florida). I think people should be trained but not forced to by the state.

I'm not surprised, Gov. Doyle vetoed the former bills and now he is gone. I'm like you, waiting for my Florida permit, and will apply for a Wisconsin as soon as I can.

I hope so too, I don't think this bill will do it, a permit system will be needed. I believe a permit system is also in the works.

Does that bill address reciprocity? Is it legal cc for everyone or just WI residents?

The only info I have is the link I posted in my first post. I believe it only includes Wisconsin residents. As I stated in post 6, I believe a permit bill is also in the works, hopefully this will address reciprocity.

It is amazing how mis-informed the antis can be. Registration and databases and such. Isn't it amazing how they always quote the second amendment up to the second comma and never any further. They think that bolsters their "Only miltary and law enforcement are covered in the 2A." arguement.
