Sorry to disabuse you of this notion, but.......

I was a cop for three years. The reason that I quit the job is because I am a strict constitutionalist, and this attitude is pervasive among the law enforcement community. One in one thousand? Try one in three. Worse than that is the fact that most of the others remain silent, or even complicit, when they recognize these abuses.

I am NOT the type to remain silent when witnessing abuses to the constitution to which I swore an oath. Not even when it is some homeless/drug addicted/prostitute/scumbag/criminal.

    1. Treatening to stick a gun to civilians head
    2. Threatening to cave in civilians face
    3. Threatening to execute civilian

All these would land a civilian in jail over night at least. This officer is not just a bad cop, but a bad person through and through.
Completely agree! That moron needs to be somebody's b!tch for a couple of years! There is absolutely NO excuse for behavior of that nature. The LEO caused all of his own angst and he took it out on the civilian!

  5. This cop needs to be charged with assault and making deadly threats, being reprimanded is not enough in this instance. Someone like this has no business carrying a badge period.

Sent the video (you know which one I suppose) to our town chief of police Thursday nite. Saw him at lunch yesterday and he thanked me, and said he used it in a training session yesterday morning. He wasn't too impressed with the officer in question, to say the least.

Well done, BR, that was good thinking. I don't need to do that around here since it's well-publicized that we have some idiots in the PD. They're kept on a tight leash after 2 of them (who were fired) made a motorist stand outside in sub-zero weather a couple winters ago while they made racist cracks about him, on the computer and over the radio! Guy got frostbite on his face and ears and made a tidy little bundle from the city (of course, that was some of my tax dollars he got). So, our men and ladies in blue are fairly humble. It helps that they know a lot us carry, concealed and openly.

Some other readers might want to do the same thing you did. Kudos to ya.

Probably the most truthfully honest comment on this thread. Many people like to stick their head in the sand when it comes to this issue. Plenty people will see this vid and say that what happened is horrible and then turn around and say this usually never happens when it does on a daily basis but does not get coverage. Thank you for you words.

Boomer, You sound like the exception rather than the rule. I am glad that you have such high morals and respected for the constitution. We need more cops with that kind of attitude. Thank you for your service.

Hits the nail on the head with a 10 lb sledge, dumb SOB should be a unarmed mall cop, maybe checking for locked gates and doors
