    i have been a concealed permit holder in ct for over 35 years and i own a home in florida, can anyone tell me what i need to do to get a fla permit. it would make it easier while traveling by car back and forth thanks

  3. Go to top of this page. Click on 'Concealed Carry Permit Info'. Click on Florida. Follow instructions. Stay out of New Jersey.

    Concealed Weapons or Firearm Program - Division of Licensing, FDACS
    It is pretty easy and can be done by mail. The safety course can be waived if you have a DD214. Pictures, fingerprints, paperwork and patience. I have a NY resident CCW, CT non resident CCW and a Fl non resident CCW. You will not be allowed to carry in NY, NJ or SC.

    If you apply in person, you will get your permit within the week, too. In the mail, a little bit over a week. Your call.
