  1. Need holster for jogging

So I'm wanting to carry my Walther PPS when I go jogging up the road cause sometimes during the summer I wait till after sundown so it isn't so blooming hot. I need a good belly holster since my shorts obviously wouldn't be sturdy enough to support the weight of a gun. Also something that doesn't run the risk of the gun bouncing out while I run. Thanks guys!

Get yourself a good fanny pack. You may want to replace the nylon belt with something stronger like a leather one as my wife did. The fanny pack works like a charm for carrying concealed.
I am old and slow, BUT dead on with my aim!!

Was looking at these the other day. I need one as well.......

Pistol Wear - Comfortable Concealment Holsters For Concealed Carry

  5. I recommend Pistol Wear. I ordered the one best suited for what I use. It works great while running, but it's just a pocket and they want you to carry without a round in the chamber. However, I throw my DeSantis Nemasis holster inside the Pistol Wear, carry with a round in the chamber and love it. If you are running in jeans and a T Shirt it will print, but with a sweatshirt or if you just don't care -- it works pretty good.

I use a Trump Card sub compact with a LC9 when I walk the dog, works great.

  8. I have the 5.11 holster shirt that I use for my LCP. I ordered it the same size as my t shirt, and while it's tight, it's supposed to be. It's a compression shirt and it has to hold a gun. It holds the gun very well and doesn't move around. I wear a loose shirt and I'm good to go, it prints a little (more like a small bulge), but your running and it's on your side, no one is gonna know the difference. Plus the other side pocket is good for your iPod and carry permit. I definitely recommend it for running. While it isn't quick, it's better than no gun at all. I looked at the pistol wear but decided against it. Just didn't like the idea of it I guess. Didn't think it would hold up for sprinting and stuff.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I think from what I've seen so far I'm leaning towards the 5.11 shirt. I do like the look of the Pistol Wear though, but could you guys clear up the differences between all of them? I realize they state their different uses, but looking at pictures I can't tell much difference among them...

  10. I recall the main differences being the size. I run with a full sized Glock 17, so i selected the Pistolwear that was that size in black. If you email or call, they have great customer service. Also, i remember they actually sell their own product on ebay as well, and it was a few dollars cheaper.

I have never used a compression shirt, so I can't speak for it. But I run frequently so I prefer a holster that will not be sweaty when I have to put it on every day.

Also, I have used fanny packs. I do not recommend them because they bounce while you run; usually the waist strap is nylon. In the case of pistol wear, It is great because it is cinched tight to your body adjusted for you and prevents bouncing as much as that is possible.

I have also heard great reviews of Kramer's compression shirt. I can speak of their holsters that they are top-of-the-line. But I have only heard reviews, great reviews, of this holster compression shirt.

511 Makes a holster Fannypack holster Fannypack I believe Camelback does as well. Lastly, brands like maxpedition make over shoulder concealed carry bags. I have not use them.

Hill people gear makes a chest pouch for runners. I have not tried it.
