Thread: What's the best pocket gun for CC?

  1. What's the best pocket gun for CC?

What's the best pocket gun for CC and best pocket holster for that gun?

  3. I like my Kel-Tec P32 for pocket carry. Perfect blend of small size but decent power. Lot of people say .380 is the minimum carry for a backup gun or CCW but from what I've read and watched, .32 can be just as powerful as a .380 with the right load. +Shot placement.

    Wait,
Have you seen the double tap?
This fall they are coming out with a 410/45colt version.
    I will be getting one.
If you cannot wait, look at the sig p238
OR if that's too pricey look at ruger LCP

I have a nifty S&W Airweight 5 shot .38 that I can just stick in my pocket and go. Loaded with +P ammo it's a great CC weapon.

Kahr PM9. 9mm, 6+1, double action only. The CM9 is a less expensive copy.

A j-frame .38 spl revolver in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. Can't go wrong.

Don't use a holster for a pocket gun
It will just slow your draw

  9. Kahr P380 in a Stellar Rigs Kydex pocket holster. Tiny. Powerful. Easily concealed. My favorite for summertime carry.

I'm not sure this is good advice. For one, printing is more of an issue without a holster to break up the outline. Second, without a holster, the gun is more likely to shift and rotate to a less usable position, which is way more likely to screw up a draw. Finally, a good holster will do a better job of keeping lint and such out of your gun, making a malfunction less likely.

  11. I sure like the old tried and true 38 snub nose
