Yes. You can look up Missouri SB 656 or wait until handgunlaw.us has updated its Missouri document.

To carry legally, you have to obey the law of the state you are in. Just because your home state has permitless carry doesn't make it so in the state you are visiting. You would still need an appropriate permit in those states requiring it.

Permit-less carry begins Jan. 1st but does not enjoy the same privileges as permit carry. For example, with a permit, if you carry in one of the places listed in RSMo 571.107, you are discovered, you are asked to leave, you refuse to leave, and the police are called, you can be charged with an infraction (exceptions are Federal Buildings, Buses and Bus Stations, Airport controlled areas, and Trains are a crime). First time infraction is a $100 fine.

Without a permit if you are caught carrying in places listed under RSMo 571.107, you are asked to leave, you refuse to leave, and the police are called you can be charged with a Class B Misdemeanor at minimum. You will also not be covered under the exemption in the Federal Gun Free School Zone act.

You will not be able to carry in locales that have an ordnance against open carry. Not that you will be dis-allowed to conceal in these locales, but if your gun becomes exposed, you could be charged with an open carry infraction.

Please do your research and learn how to conceal so no other person will know that you are carrying. Also, study RSMo 563 (Justification of Defense). Please know when you are justified to use lethal force and when you are not.

    Cheers!

You can carry within Missouri without a permit. If you leave Missouri you must have a Missouri permit that is honored in the state you are carrying in.

Thanks RJT for the clarification. I forgot that it doesn't start until January 1
