Anyone who says, "I support the 2nd amendment, BUT"... doesn't. Element of Surprise: a mythical element that many believe has the same affect upon criminals that Kryptonite has upon Superman.

    • serial killers

And I'm not giving up 1,000,000,000th of one part of one iota of ANY right of mine to ANY of them.

Your contempt for the 4th and 5th amendments does not constitute a reason for me to waive a single right, or part thereof.

"Rights" talk= rambling. Had I cussed at them like some morons do ..."

These are your idiot words and I notice you piped down a lot replying to me than your post which I contended - you actually got civil. You did not address my point which are your words, in red, above. You flat out avoided my clear points with a head-fake
You're a grandfather, eh? Well, so what - you sure speak as a kid with your loathing of "rights" [constitutional] folks that they're "ramblers."
I specifically addressed your post with your words and you responded to everything but your words.
Please respond to this if you wish. I'll not respond further.

    Fallacy much?
Its NOT GIVING UP a right to willingly submit to a search.
Sorry but those of you who keep rambling on about that are simply being asinine.

Sorry, but Ive been on other sites for a bit.
If my demeanor changed I assure you it had NOTHING to do with YOU or this idiotic discussion.
You want to see how UNcivil I can be? Lets take this to PMs for a while.
No one here is worried about you OR your pathetic illogical nonsense.
    I'll not respond further.
    A very good idea.

As I said, those who act like an ass with a cop during a stop deserve whatever they get.
You want respect then GIVE respect.
I'm not consenting to ANYTHING, EVER.
And when we both are pulled over rest assured that while Im driving off AFTER allowing a search you will be the guy getting detained and arrested.

I WILL consent every time it seems even remotely reasonable and if the LEO is treating me respectfully.,

Only criminals have something to hide.

    Seriously, are you?
When you sign a traffic ticket you are agreeing to appear in court to dispute the ticket (or pay the fine) it's an ROR bond. If you don't sign the ticket the cop usually has no recourse but to arrest you and hold you until your trial.
Please dont even try to pretend that we did NOT just see a video where some guy just needed to sign a ticket and blew his top at the LEO, friend.
    Shall I post it again?

THAT is a very common type of attitude with cops...and we're seeing proof of it right here in this thread.
And ,again, no one here is advocating being rude to the cop
    I certainly hope not.
And Id suggest if you dont like MY putting intents into YOUR damned posts then you STOP putting them into mine.
Such as this BS about my 'giving up rights' because I CHOOSE to allow a search which is none of anyone business here.
It has nothing to do with 'giving up' my rights and anyone who claims it does is dumber than a box of rocks.

Officer, (courtesy titles go a loooong way) I do not consent to any searches.
    Thats fine.
    1. OFTEN it DOESNT go that way and you know it.
    2. It doesnt mean if *I* choose to ALLOW a search that Ive given up any rights.

    From YOUR personal perspective, no.
But one has to wonder why you choose to make a LEO's job more complicated.
I prefer to work WITH law enforcement and make their job as easy as possible.
If that means submitting to a search so they can get back to catching bad guys, so be it.

In fact, if the cop knows and respects the law, we won't waste time searching my vehicle and he can get on the road quicker to catch a real criminal.
    Wrong.
The LEO doesnt know a damned thing about you PRESENTLY.
Most felons werent felons at some previous point in time...THEN they broke the law.
For all this LEO knows you could have killed someone TODAY and have them in your trunk.
You seem to think they are mind readers, which is asinine.
BTW, the reason for a search for which a warrant must be obtained is to obtain evidence of a crime for which there is probable cause to believe has been committed.
btw if you arent guilty of anything then a search shouldnt matter.
Im starting to wonder if a few of you here might actually be WORRIED about a search more than this garbage about 'giving up' rights.
